Sales Invoice is a document raised and send to the customer for the Goods sold or Service rendered. This contains the details of Goods and Services like description of goods or services, quantity, per unit and price. Credit memo is issued to adjust the value of original invoice. If the price / quantity charged in the invoice is excess, or goods damaged, we will issue the credit memo to the Customer. Mostly customers will raise disputes regarding the fault or defect in the goods and we will give the credit memo. Customer will offset from the original Invoice, the value of the credit memo. Hope it clarifies your doubt.
