FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP SAP error message FAGL_SWITCH_OP 018

Hello SAP Expert,

While running FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP with a switch date equals to system date either there are some documents which are excluded or I am getting an error message FAGL_SWITCH_OP 018. How can I resolve this issue???

Everyone, please provide me with a solution to resolve this error.

In order to resolve this error please check for a document posted on the account which is having the posting date greater than the current system date. The tool should only be run when the system date is equal to the last posting date of the document for the account in the current period otherwise, there will be a mismatch between the balance of line item and totals table which will give you an error message FAGL_SWITCH_OP 018. If in case there are circular postings then you may not get the error message fagl_switch_op 018.
A new check is introduced in the FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP tool in order to stop the tool from executing if any such documents are present.
Therefore perform the manual steps and after that apply the Software Component SAP_FIN with 1 Correction Instructions and Software Component SAP_APPL with 1 Correction Instructions.
Manual steps before applying correction instruction valid for Software Component SAP_APPL:
- Release 603
- Release 604
- Release 605
- Release 606
- Release 616
And the steps to be implemented are as follows:
- Enter Message class: FAGL_SWITCH_OP using transaction SE91.
- Now click the change button and Choose 'Maintain in Orginal language'
- Now for Message 103 please enter the message below:
'There are future postings.For details refer to SAP Document 2254033'
Manual steps before applying correction instruction valid for Software Component SAP_FIN:
- Release 617
- Release 618
- Release 619
- Release 700
- Release 720
- Release 730
And the steps to be implemented are as follows:
- Enter Message class: FAGL_SWITCH_OP using transaction SE91.
- Now click the change button and Choose 'Maintain in Orginal language'
- Now for Message 103 please enter the message below:
'There are future postings.For details refer to SAP Document 2254033'

The issue or error you are getting must have been caused because of a document which is posted in the current period but the posting date is greater than system date. Therefore while calculating the balance, the amount is considered as the totals are calculated per period by FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP. But the line item is considered based on the switch date and therefore, as a result, the document is excluded by the tool.This is correct because the tool is not expected to have a document with posting date greater than the current system date.
