SAP Message AA324: Posting with trans.type 970 not possible (No acquisition posted)

T-code ABLDT

Hello SAP Experts,

While using T-code ABLDT for migrating Acquisition values (APC) and Accumulated Depreciation Amounts, the system shows an error AA324 which says that 'Posting with trans.type 970 not possible (No acquisition posted)'.

This issue can be regenerated by following:

First, go to SAP document 2331123 in order to complete relevant customizing for transferring legacy data.
Now use T-code: ABLDT for creating an asset and fill in the field 'Capitalized on' (ANLA-AKTIV) in the asset master data
Then execute t-code ABLDT in order to uploadapC value and Accumulated Depreciation amounts for the assets created in above step 2
A SAP Message AA324 is issued which says that the transaction cannot be posted.

While taking the values for legacy asset, the system always checks if the field 'First acquisition on' (ANLA-ZUGDT) is filled in and if the date of the first acquisition is before the date of transferring legacy asset (T093C-DATUM). Therefore the asset created by T-Code: AS01, the field 'first acquisition on' (ANLA-ZUGDT) is empty or the date of legacy asset transfer (T093C-DATUM).

In order to avoid this issue please always use T-Code: AS91 instead of T-Code: AS01 in order to create asset master data for legacy data migration.
