Why Balance don't match for FBL3N Report and BSEG Table?

Hello Experts,

We are stuck in one requirement, we have report painter report for trail balance, column has profit center group and row has GL account.

Now for one particular profit center group, from FY2009 till 2014, Calculation was correct but in 2015 suddenly the balance does not match FBL3N report and BSEG table also.

Can anyone help us find why system is not calculating the balance in the Report correctly, when generate the report for 1 period 2015, it's picking the correct line item but the total balance for all fy till 12,2014 plus 1period 2015 is not correct.

The issue is from period 1 2015 and you noticed now in 2016? You have mentioned FBL3N so I presume you are on classic GL. Did you check what the totals table is showing. I guess it was GLT0 in Classic GL. Also can you check if FS00 is showing the correct carryforward i.e. whatever was carried forward in 2014 has been brought forward in 2015 and that the total of line items matches with the total amount in FS00? It might not be a problem with the report painter ; there are several cases where the total of line item does not match the balance amount of GL - Rule out that first. Try to narrow down on the GL account and Profit Center combination which is causing the mismatch. In report painter check the sets/variables you are using. Check the GL and PC set for any missing account/PC. Check the Period variable to ensure that you are using the correct period variable which takes into account both the carryforward balance (Period 0) + Period 1 balance.

Yes it classical gl, they have assigned profit center group and i think its table glpct for profit center which they have used. can you give a way where i can find out when last time they have run carry forward for gl. i know tcode to do carry farward thru f.07 or f.16 something like that but dont know how to get the details when last time they have carry forwarded the blance.fs00 is for a gl master record. also can you please elaborate how can carry will impact on this gl( this gl 341010 is a line item mgmt but no open item mgmt selected)
