For security reasons the administrator may need to change the passwords of the users. Perform the following sequence of actions in order to change the password of a user:
• From the SAP R/3 main screen choose the menu option Tools -> Administration, Maintain Users -> Users. Alternately use transaction SU01.
• Type in the user name in the field ‘user’ and click on "Change Password" button.
• Type in the new password, and retype it for confirmation in the input fields of the next window. This new password must fulfill the standard conditions regarding permissible passwords. The respective user will have to type in this password when they logon next time, and then change it to their own preferred password
