My company has upgraded SAP ECC6 EHP5 to EHP6 and I want to test it. Could you please let me know how to test it?
What transaction is required in this testing and what items should I test and confirm that it is working perfectly?
You must test all business processes that your company is using. Every single one of them.
And all reporting programs, especially the custom reporting programs, which may be used on need basis only. They must still be tested post upgrade. All custom objects (data types, table extensions, custom tables, workflows that were customised, all these must be tested separately), business switches table needs to be tested too. But I agree with the others, there is always a backup, recovery and testing plan with an upgrade project. I am sure you have it too.
And post upgrade testing happens during downtime, and before release to company.
Did you upgrade your system without first making a plan for testing? Then you've done things in the wrong order.
This group cannot tell you what to test, other than stating that all business processes must be tested. We don't know which functions/processes you're using.
The process owners should develop test scripts and use these scripts every time you need to perform post-upgrade testing.
