I am from New Delhi, India. I am going to sit for Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, CIMA Strategy Level in May 2011. I would like to know if SAP FICO goes well with CIMA qualification. CIMA has some practical experience requirements which one must fulfill to be awarded the CIMA degree/certification. I am going to ask the same question on CIMA forum - CIMASphere : Is SAP consultant/implementer experience considered for CIMA Practical Training requirements? In which area - Area 1 Basic experience or Area 2 - Core experience?
Now SAP has seperated the certification for FI and CO modules. Which one would suit more to CIMA qual.? I guess CO as it relates more to Management Accounting.
Just wanted to mention I have 1 year of SAP (mostly FI) End-User experience and want to train myself on SAP FI and CO both (preferably CO) AND move to SAP consulting role. How do you rate that? What are the challenges I must prepare myself for? What are the future prospects?
Suggestions/Comments are whole heartedly welcome.
